These ponies are lucky to have a new sponsor, Dudley Wheatcroft of AD Photography of Chesterfield in Derbyshire for the 2008 season and will run with his prefix at all their shows and events. Carole Davenport drives these 11hh Shetland X Dartmoor ponies while her husband Jeff does all the hard work on the back of the carriage as groom. Carole finished the 2007 season as the novice league winner so 2008 will be her first season as an open driver. Tarmac and Adam prove you don't have to pay £1000s to get a great deal of enjoyment from your ponies. Tarmac was given to Carole as a foal as his Shetland dam had an unannounced visitor in the shape of a Dartmoor stallion in the night when he jumped across two fields to visit her and Adam was an unruly and ill mannered 3yr old who had got the better of his owners and they were only too glad to see the back of him ! Fortunately the two ponies took to driving and each other !
